how do I fix optifine 1.8.9 errors?

I am trying to turn showDebugInfo from int to boolean, so the hud isnt overlapping with the f3 debug menu.

using 1.8.9 optifine m5
problem is, I am getting weird errors.

and... if I go to vanilla 1.8.9, it shows the variable as boolean. so I don't know what's wrong, how I decompiled 1.8.9, or hexeption's optifine is botched.
can one of you guys decompile 1.8.9 with optifine, to see if its just me, or something's really wrong.
