How do disablers work?

I know its a braindead question but I'm really curious on how they work and where I can learn about disablers and packets.

I'd want to know so I could make disablers for servers like hypixel and whatnot.

if its really your first time, and you're making a private client for yourself, you could look through other clients sources to get a general/basic understanding of how disablers are made and how they interact with packets.
